Position details

To run optical simulations using SPEOS simulation SW to design parts

To modify slight mechanical modifications of 3D models

To drive mechanical designers to make heavy 3D model modifications

To cooperate with mechanical engineers to design parts according to mold injection rules

To cooperate with optical designer to specify and guarantee final product performances

To perform additional loops following first prototype measurement for optimization

To contribute to simulation methodology improvement

To contribute to pointer, light boxes and light guide databases

To organize design reviews

To contribute to simulation team evolution from simulation only to full expertise

To follow project milestones defined by the project leader for local projects or simulation due
dates for the optical overseas reference designers

To report to the professional line team leader about workload and achievements

To identify and define tools needed to support development activities

To follow corporate design guide lines and quality procedures

Education background

Master degree, optics, optical engineering or relevant field

Professional background

At least 5 years of experience in indirect illumination system design

In charge of ray tracing simulation for backlight design

Previous job in a company designing backlight for LCD module would be a plus
