A renowned education conglomerate with strong presence in HK and mainland China is looking for a high caliber professional to be responsible for marketing functions in our new school opening in Guangzhou. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Admissions, we are seeking a highly competent and motivated individual with a strong drive to succeed to join our team as:
Marketing Manager
Responsibilities
1 Supporting the Head of Marketing & Admissions to manage both its short- and long-term marketing and sales strategies to optimize brand image, increase market share and achieve enquiry and enrollment targets.
2 Implementing a marketing and admissions plan in accordance with Group Head Office guidelines, adapting it to best fit within a local context.
3 Maintaining brand image in all marketing and promotional materials (including website) to achieve branding and sales objectives. Enhancing brand awareness and preference through use of different tactics and vehicles.
4 Developing strategies to gain editorial access to major newspapers, magazines and other appropriate media, building rapport with key industry bodies. Working out PR strategy and media schedule to maximize exposure and explore collaboration opportunities with key business partners and corporations.
5 Planning and managing the annual marketing budget to ensure it is utilized effectively and appropriately to achieve marketing objectives.
6 Closely monitoring and evaluating market conditions. Gathering and reviewing competitor data and activities on a regular basis to support strategies formulation. Submitting reports and any data analyses requested by the Group Head Office in a timely manner.
7 Working closely with the Admissions team to promote admissions-related activities and events to maximize the number of enquiries and enrollments.
8 Assisting in marketing and sales training for staff members.
9 Providing ad hoc admissions and administrative support as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have:
1 Minimum 5 years experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Sales Management and/or Public Relations, preferably in high-end education or service industry, with at least 2 years in a similar position.
2 Degree holder or above in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related disciplines.
3 Exceptional command of both spoken and written English.
4 Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
5 Solid experience in planning and driving an effective marketing program. An established track record of building rapport with media and/or business associations highly preferred.
6 Digital marketing experience is much preferred.
7 Strong planning and organization skills with an analytical and creative mind.
8 Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork; must be a highly effective communicator.
9 Outgoing, independent, customer-oriented and driven personality with a high degree of initiative.
