Job Profile:

· To deliver the best average buying price to the company and costing control;

· To source new factories and suppliers;

· Monitoring the sampling process, purchase orders and quality assuring to meet production schedule timelines

· Update the planning/ ordering system with production schedules;

· Undertake fabric booking with suppliers and confirm colour approval;

· Support the Shipping Co-ordinators to ensure that production and shipments are on time;

· Initiate supplier return claims process;

· Support the implementation of Mothercare group Responsible Sourcing code of conduct in the supply base.

· Perform ad hoc task that assigned by line manager or senior management team.

Requirements

· Degree holder with at least 4 years relevant experience in clothing merchandising;

· Sound knowledge in sourcing new suppliers is a must, exp. in sourcing overseas suppliers will be an advanatge;

· Exp. in Softline (e.g. beding, soft toys...etc) is a must; knowledge in children or babies wear will be an advantage;

· Good Costing, Negotiation and commercial acumen are critical;

· Good communication in English is essential;

· Good Data analysis and interrogation;

· Understanding of sourcing policies, procedures, associated systems, Logistics and shipping expertise;

· Candidate with more experience will be considering as Senior Purchaser.
