Our client is a leading importer to the Canadian market and is now in the top 50 companies in Canada. They are now seeking an independent Senior Merchandiser to manage their end to end apparel sourcing and merchandising operations in Hangzhou, China. This unique opportunity requires an experienced merchandising candidate who can source, manage product development, manage on time shipment and critical path and manage quality control. This role will cover ladies fashion apparel across wovens, knits and jersey as well as fashion accessories to be sourced around Hangzhou and Jiangsu province.

This role will directly report to the Toronto based buying office with daily communication, excellent written and spoken English is essential. This role will requires frequent travels and will be home based. The successful candidate may build an opportunity to open a Hangzhou sourcing office at a later stage.
