GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

A full-time accountant to handle the accounts (both financial and tax accounts) of a small foreign consulting company in Guangzhou.

The accountant will be the lead accountant in the company and will handle all the accounts related to the consulting office.

Main Responsibilities:

Managing the Accounting Cycle:

Set up an electronic accounting system (Kingdee, Quickbooks or other) for a small company.
Make daily journal entries and ledger postings through the system.
Follow up and follow through on the paperwork necessary to complete the accounting paperwork and files.
Coordinate with staff in the company to ensure all financial and control guidelines are followed.
Manage the Accounts Payable accounts of the company including pre-payment verification of documents and post-payment checks.
Prepare monthly reports as needed.

Tax Accounting:

Prepare the books to comply with Chinese regulations on the accounting for consulting service companies.
File taxes with the respective government agency.
Ensure all paperwork related to tax accounting is complete, organized and well-referenced.

General Tasks:

Ensure compliance with accounting deadlines especially tax accounting deadlines.
Prepare management accounting reports particularly on costs.
Follow up on staff to submit any costs or accounting-related reports on time and in total quality.
Handle the renewal of the company licenses.
File the social security payments of the company workers.
Other tasks as needed to track and record all data relevant to the accounting of the company.

Main Requirements for the Job:

Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting

Experience: At least one year experience in a related field.

Language: Good command of English (spoken and written)
