职位描述
1. Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Regional Category Manager is to represent their aligned Category throughout the region to drive growth in Category Sales, Profit and Return on Stock. This includes coordinating local product, supplier & customer insight and supplier engagement as well as representing the Category in engaging with suppliers across the region. In addition to these responsibilities the RCM will provide day to day management and leadership for the local Product Managers based located in country/sub-region
2. Key Accountabilities
2.1 Provide local & regional insight to inform our Global Strategy
? Ensure the voice of the "local" customer is represented within the Global strategies
? Drive engagement across Product & Supplier Management, Inventory Management, Pricing, Content, Sales, Marketing & Suppliers to capture local insight and deliver the global strategy
? Provide customer, supplier & competitor insight to identify gaps in our offer a inform our pricing, content & stocking strategies
2.2 Local and Regional supplier engagement
? Manage local supplier contracts and commercial terms in line with the Global Category strategy
? Drive strategic supplier engagement within the aligned technology category to give RS a competitive advantage in terms of range, availability, total cost, innovation, cash flow & support
2.3 Support sales, marketing & customers to drive strategy execution locally
? Gain support of regional & local cross functional teams to execute category plan and deliver our objectives, within the aligned technology category
? Support Global, Regional & Local Sales & Marketing programmes
? Support execution of aligned pricing strategy execution enabling RS to win more business, maximise net profit and improve customers value perceptions
2.4 Managing people & budgets
? Business performance reviews, team meetings, appraisals and business reporting are completed on time and to Electrocomponents standard
? Ensuring we have the commercial skills & empowerment, systems and streamlined processes to enable teams to optimise price, range, content, cost, sourcing & stock to maximise return on stock investment
? Our people are safe, highly engaged and are equipped with the right skills, systems and processes to deliver their objectives
Requirements:
? Significant experience within product & supplier management
? Degree level education or equivalent (preferably within relevant area)
? Ability to lead a customer focused cross functional team to deliver commercial recommendations based upon local insight
? Proven track record for leading and engaging teams through change
? Broad knowledge of our external market place across Greater China (target customers, competitors & suppliers)
? Strong people management and coaching skills & experience
? Experience of managing teams across international boundaries
? Proven capability to globalise the view of the organisation
? Ability to demonstrate driving significant increase in employee engagement
? Strong interpersonal skills to drive alignment across a Global matrix organisation
? Ability to use knowledge and experience of external best practice to drive improvement
