The client
It is a leading manufacturer and sales of food and beverages. It offers nutritional products which sold throughout the world including China, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North America and Europe.
China Compliance Manager is a new position, will be assisting the CEO for legal documentation and litigation, regulatory compliance and maintenance of Intellectual Property Rights.
Responsibilities:
Ø Review, prepare and negotiate contracts on behalf of the Group's operations in China.
Ø Work with external lawyer to deal with legal disputes and claims, including reviewing and advising on the merits of the disputes / claims, ensuring that the interests of the Operation are protected, advising management on dispute resolution processes and proceedings.
Ø Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations.
Ø Maintain Intellectual Property Rights including trademark, patent, copyright, design rights and domain name registration and maintenance.
Ø Provide corporate secretarial support, legal training, any ad hot projects.
Requirements:
Ø Minimum 4 years relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably of an international law firm and a reputable multinational company.
Ø Law Degree, passing of the National Judicial Examination (NJE).
Ø Conversant with Intellectual Property Rights.
Ø Good communication in both Chinese and English.
