The Lodging Inventory Services development team is looking for a strong C#/.Net software design engineer capable of designing and implementing extreme scale server software that enables this client to manage the largest hotel invenotry system on this planet! If you're not satisfied with the status quo and constantly want to improve things we want you here! This position is based in Shenzhen.
The Inventory Services team is within the broader Lodging Technology group that drives this client's hotel business. This includes our pricing and availability engine, shopping APIs for all points of sale, supplier connectivity, and supplier facing tools and API's. The focus of the Inventory Services team is to provide supplier facing services for connectivity and tools. Our services are designed to handle millions of transactions a day and run in a real-time 24x7 environment so robustness, scalability, reliability and high performance are critical. We work behind the scenes to make millions of transactions possible, connecting customers and hotel reservation systems around the world!
Responsibilities:
1.Design and implement powerful, highly scalable, and reliable server applications on C#/.Net platform
2.Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
3.Interact with Program Managers and Test Engineers to contribute to and review functional specifications and test cases.
4.Resolve defects in your own and other's code
5.Contribute to advancing the team's design methodology and quality programming practices.
Qualifications:
1.Extensive experience in C#/.Net and Microsoft Databases on Windows platforms
2.Strong understanding of optimal performance in C#/.Net
3.Extensive experience with design concepts, development frameworks, and SOA architectures
4.Experience with related technologies such as SQL, AJAX, JavaScript, XML, DHTML, XSL, and IIS
5.Strong experience with algorithms and data structures, multi-threading, concurrency, caching and scalable/distributed systems
6.Middle tier to back-end experience in web servers and back end servers preferred in large scale environments
7.Knowledge and experience with agile/iterative and object-oriented methodologies, notations, and processes
8.Strong understanding of technologies and product suites commonly used in technology solutions
9.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
10.High initiative and self-motivated
11.Must be able to articulate their experience with, problems with proposed solutions
12.Perforce Experience strongly preferred, but other similar tools (TFS, Perforce)
13.Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
14.Strong written and oral communication
Work Experience and Education Guidelines:
1.BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical disciplines
2.Minimum 7 years experience developing software applications
Core Competencies:
