Job Duties:

Candidate will be a key Subject Matter Expert in the iSeries Application Life-cycle and Release (ALM&R) team, undertaking:
1.End-user (developer) support
2.Regional MKS Implementer administrator support
3.Design, Build, Test and Deployment of HSBC-specific infrastructure in support of ALM including Releases
4.Performance Monitoring and Tuning of SCM infrastructure
5.Contributions to ethos of continuous improvement
6.MKS Implementer Environmental maintenance
7.Assistance in ensuring compliance with Audit and ISR
8.Active role in preventing and fixing reported problems
9.Assistance in applying governance to ensure that policy and direction are being followed
10.Provide 24x7 on-call support

Candidate Specifications:

· A university graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology or an IT related discipline
· 1+ years IT working experience preferably gained in the banking industry
· Experience of supporting iSeries applications in Production highly desirable
· Able to work in a global team and as a good team player with the ability to work under pressure
· Able to manage concurrent tasks and meet project deadlines
· Effective communication in spoken and written English / Cantonese
· Good Communication skills
· Strong Commitment to Standards
· Willingness to act with Courageous Integrity
· Good analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
· Knowledge on Mainframe, iSeries and UNIX platform environment would be an advantage
· Experience in Software Configuration Management would be an advantage
· Knowledge on COBOL, RPG, XML, Java scripts, Perl scripts and VB scripts would be an advantage
