Position description:
Position in China of responsibility as a market leader by developing and managing processes that assure sales, growth, and profitability objectives are achieved on a continuous basis in the China market. Pursue a customer reputation for excellence by providing exceptional customer service. Define market and product opportunities that lead to future profitable business growth.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1.Leadership – Manages and provides leadership consistent with the Vision and Mission. Instill a high standard of professionalism in sales personnel who are the “face” of company to our customers and channel partners (Future). Participate as a member of the core management team of the organization in SMC.
2.Sales and P&L Responsibility - Increase sales volume in China according to budget and in close cooperation with Group in Germany and the respective sales channels. Assures ongoing P&L performance to plan for region of responsibility. Develops and maintains budgets analyzing performance on a regular basis through defined key performance measures and gap analysis. Provides ongoing reporting to GM China.
· Prepares and submits plans and budgets assuring adequate resources are available to support the business group, sales channel, and customer base while achieving profitability objectives.
· Implements corrective and preventive actions as required assuring that budget numbers are achieved.
3.Business Strategy – Develops strategies, key initiatives, and key performance measures for the region that fully support the division strategies and key initiatives. Develops and implements focused plans that assure sales, market growth, penetration, and profitability objectives are met. This includes:
· Continuous improvement and growth in sales, profitability, customer base, and market participation.
· Working with marketing to define key market segments, analyze competitive companies; develop new markets, and assuring that required data is regularly communicated from the sales channel to marketing.
· Implementing appropriate market penetration strategies to grow the business.
· Coordinating market research efforts designed to estimate market size for industrial pressure controls by region and segment.
· Establishing annual bookings and sales forecasts and goals. Provide both unit and dollar forecast to materials along with periodic updates at a frequency that facilitates effective inventory management.
· Forecast orders monthly for POR purpose.
· Coordinating and reviewing advertising, trade shows promotional programs and other communication projects.
· Creating and delivering sales presentations and training for customers, and sales channel partners.
4.Sales Channel – Defines and develops a sales channel that professionally represents company to the customer and has the capabilities and capacity to grow sales profitably. Manages the sales channel to assure that sales, growth, profitability, and market participation objectives are met and that customers recognize the company as the market leader. Measures and analyzes sales channel performance using gap analysis to define opportunities and implementing actions that assure continuous improvement. Assures that partners and direct sales staff are properly trained and fully evaluated for effectiveness and performance on a regular ongoing basis.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, MBA a plus.
A minimum of Ten years management experience in sales.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability and effectiveness in working with people to successfully achieve planned goals.
Excellent ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, employees and familiar with Western style working environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team oriented environment.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Financial ability on budget preparation/tracking.
