JOB SCOPE SUMMARY

Responsible to actively source, telemarketing, prospect new members and existing members from a dedicated account portfolio and leverage on B2B Programs (StarChoice / Starwood Preferred Planners), enrolment, onboarding, activation and Business Development in order to retain, drive incremental business and expand the customer base.

This individual will be a highly motivated and self-starter. The ability to communicate and sales skills with prospective members over the phone is essential for success in this position.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Essential Functions


  • Sign up and enrol members to StarChoice / Starwood Preferred Planner become a champion fully versed and trained in using these programs
  • Cold calling and participation in telemarketing activities and initiatives to prospects, involving B2B teleprospecting
  • Manage data for existing and prospective clients, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities
  • Utilize professional communication and sales skills to identify prospects
  • Follow up on leads, identify existing and potential prospects to drive business
  • Prepare and analyze reports and dashboards
  • Attend and actively participate in team and company meetings
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as requested by management or management delegate
  • Input all data in ISAC system for appropriate account management follow up and tracing and ensure the accuracy of all data
  • Anticipate needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication


JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Outbound business-to-business telephone marketing or sales experience preferred
  • Prospecting & Telemarketing skills
  • Basic typing/computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook and Window
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and focus, combined with effective organizational and time management skills
  • High degree of professionalism, with a confident and persuasive manner
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and think quickly
  • Ability to understand and maintain product knowledge
  • Self-reliant and reliable
  • Customer oriented
  • Team player
  • Willingness to learn and advance with Starwood Hotels and Resorts
  • One to two years of experience in teleprospecting
  • Possess good sales techniques and negotiation skills
  • Be passionate and have the drive and determination to meet/exceed set goals
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in common Microsoft software such World and Excel
  • Able to co-ordinate work processes in a systematic manner
  • Able to react fast but calmly in the midst of any co-ordination problems
  • Must possess a patient, pleasant personality
  • Comfortable in dealing with all levels of people

QUALIFICATION STANDARD


Qualification

· A Diploma or higher education

· University or College preferred


Experience

Minimum 2 year experience in a 5 star hotel or equivalent sales role
