Solution/Alliance Partner Account Manager (PAM)

The Solution PAM is the largest single partner team community within Microsoft’s Enterprise Partner Sales. They manage key Microsoft partners strategically selected for their impact to Microsoft’s Enterprise Customers with focus on Corporate and Major Account customer segments. These partners’ business model focuses on consulting and solution selling to drive sales and deployment of Microsoft products.

Your Responsibilities

Microsoft’s success relies on a strong and committed partner community. The Solution PAM role consults and manages our top Solution or System Integration (SI) Partners, growing their commitment and influence to Microsoft revenue through their capacity to drive solution sales and deployments of Microsoft technology. Although many of these partners may also transact Microsoft license agreements, Solution/Alliance partners typically earn more than 50% of their profits from sales of solutions and the professional services to deliver them.

The Solution PAM indirectly manages large partner sales forces and consults business owners of companies with 30 to thousands of employees. Interacting with Solution/Alliance partners with dozens of potential business models challenges the Solution PAM like no other role, growing this PAM’s business acumen and knowledge. This variety of partner expertise affords the Solution PAM experiences no other Microsoft role provides. This PAM needs to interact and be integrated across Microsoft’s customer segments, business groups, marketing, services and account teams. The knowledge you gain as a Solution PAM will allow you to pursue senior positions across many groups at Microsoft.

Your key commitments are aligned to the sales impact your managed partners have on Microsoft key product and workloads. This is achieved through:

1. Business Planning and Development: Business planning to identify Partner needs to expand Microsoft solution practice capabilities and revenue.
2. Orchestrating Sales Deployment and Revenue Attainment. Connect the right Microsoft resources to grow the Solution/Alliance partner’s impact to Microsoft sales via revenue driven, strategic wins and deployment
3. Performance Management. Measuring and managing visibility to Partner’s success metrics to maximize win-win results and strategic partner investments
