Job Title: Team leader of GMN (Global Market Navigator) Market Analyst

A reliable global market data resource providing market size, market share, market forecasts and segmentation.

Responsibilities:

? Manage the GMN research team in the Shanghai office and develop junior staff to take on more responsible roles
? Set milestones for achievement of targeted development for junior staff role
? Manage team workload and targets as well as provide regular performance and development updates
? Quality control / proofreading of GMN reports
? Supporting GMN team on the weekly basis and discussing questionable situations with GMN team leader
? Responsible of making sure there is one market size in overlapping GMN/Oxygen titles
? In conjunction with Mintel Oxygen and your line manager, produce reports to Mintel Oxygen template on given subjects
? Responsible for continuing to implementing GMN’s standard methodology across the Chinese report range
? Responsible for actively seeking out better and improved sources of data through developing relationships with organizations across many industries.
? Provide regular updates on the reports process to line manager and work collaboratively with other research managers to find solutions
? Satisfy ad-hoc or customized data requests in agreement with line manager
? Champion the GMN product within our China offering, providing commercial support where necessary and also supporting Mintel’s other products that rely upon our GMN data
? Responsible handling clients and internal queries regarding GMN reports.

Experience required:
? At least 3 years relevant work experience within a managerial or team leader role in research environment.
? Good analytical, numerical and interpretative skills, attention to detail essential, creative ideas and plenty of enthusiasm.
? As strong knowledge secondary data sources, such as industry or government data to compile background data.
? Knowledge of data analysis techniques and insight generation.
? Good organisational and ability to work under pressure a must as the person will be required to work on a number of reports / projects at the same time and will be working to strict deadlines
? Good communication skills with ability to explain and promote analytical output to non-technicians. In addition your communication skills must be exceptional for telephone interviewing and maintaining relationships with our trade sources.
? Willingness to take responsibility
? Fluent in English, both written and spoken
? A high degree of numeracy.
