Job Duties:
- Interfaces with the business community to define objectives and requirements;
- Translates business objectives into criteria and logical specifications. Programs and develops code to generate end deliverables (including file extracts, MIS reports, and SAS data marts);
- Maintains and shares libraries of programs and programming techniques with analysts across the organization;
- Makes recommendations to help evolve and make iterative improvements to the information infrastructure;
- Implements profitability algorithms, segmentation schemes and propensity to purchase models;
- Supports revenue generation programs. Interfaces with Marketing and risk departments to translate strategy into executable instructions;
- Ascertains, recommends and implements methods of improving efficiencies in database design, programming tools and coding methodologies for business analysts and the department;
- Interfaces with Technology Services to research complex data quality and systems processing issues to ensure resolution;
- Investigates operational systems. Extracts and generates proposals to improve quality, timeliness and usability. Diagnoses underlying problems related to data integrity;
- Identifies system performance issues on large, complex queries. Redevelops queries to perform in a more efficient manner;
- Develops trains and supports CIM Analysts as required;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Masters Preferred) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business, or Social Science;
- Has two years experience in a computing or information science oriented area;
- SQL, PL/SQL or SAS programming languages on Unix and/or IBM Mainframe platform and/or PC SAS;
- Unix scripting or TSO/ISPF, Visual Basic, PERL, JAVA, HTML;
- Change management and/or scheduler knowledge;
- Relational database Oracle or DB2 knowledge; data structure and data modeling knowledge, business rule definition, and meta-data management;
- Experience of Oracle APEX application development a plus.
