Booking.com (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., one of the support companies in China, is looking for an Area Manager Credit Control in Shanghai.
In this role you report directly to the Regional Credit Control Manager of Booking.com.

Job description
Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.

Key Responsibilities:
The Area Manager Credit Control will be in charge of streamlining and implementing smarter processes within Credit Control. Clear objectives will be given in terms of:
? Collecting Open Invoices
? Scalable solutions
? Cross functional Communication
? Increased growth of company
? Improving cycle times like DSO, Cash allocation and Delivery of invoices
? Maintain and improve business relationships with key business partners
? Coaching key personnel within the area of responsibility
? Set targets for the area based on KPI’s and key business objectives
Key factors of success in this role are a very sharp understanding of the business priorities, strong transversal communication skills and, above all, the capacity to drive projects and reach the pre-set objectives.

Requirements:
? Lead, manage and motivate the team by providing clear expectations, appropriate coaching, mentoring and feedback
? Responsibility for coverage of the appointed area, including forecasting staffing needs based on anticipated growth or other changes to the business;
? Together with the Regional Credit Control Manager set the KPI’s for the area;
? HR tasks including training, reviews and performance management and employee development
? Analyze existing operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement
? Develop new collection methods based on the needs of the appointed area such as seasonality, economic conditions, available payment methods or other factors;
? Develop and maintain the business relationship with our business partners and clients
? Create Best Practice and share with Peers
? Create an out of the box mind set to improve customer payment behavior
? Is owner of Key Performance Indicators like DSO, % received cash, within 30 days, 60 days and 90 days.
? Ensure adherence to Company policies and applicable governmental regulations.
? Travel will be part of the role

Skills & competencies:
? Ability to proactively drive the assigned projects and reach the preset objectives.
? Excellent transversal management skills.
? Facilitate and practice security and confidentiality of information.
? Advanced process development skills.
? Thorough technical decision making skills.
? Advanced presentation and interpersonal skills.
? Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
? 3-5 years’ experience in Finance or related field and with 2 years of management experience.

Interactions:
Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Require the ability to change the thinking, mindset of or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.
