Job Duties:

The business management specialist will work with the Business Managers and IT Heads to ensure a consistent and effective approach to managing the operational and financial aspects of their respective IT organization (Asset Class / Region). Also s/he will assist in the delivery of support objectives including Operational Risk & Internal Control, Financials, Human Resources, Communications, Vendor Management, and Relationship Management

For the respective business area;
1. Operational Risk & Internal Control
? Ensure audit issues are tracked through to resolution and other operational risk elements; and
? Assist with the operational risk and audit remedial action follow up and resolution tracking.
2. Global Finance & Planning
?Ensure accurate plan and forecast numbers are captured in GPDM;
?Work with Business Managers, system owners and project managers to ensure accurate and timely planning and re-forecasting;
?Assist regional business manager to monitor the departmental Profit & Loss to ensure the overall department is on the right track to operate / develop
?Assist IT Planning & Finance Manager in generating and explaining customer bills
?Responsible for financial accruals for asset classes in region; and
?Responsible for Cost centre tracking (e.g. headcount, training, travel)
3. Human Resources
? Monitor resource allocations across the asset class;
? Oversee contractor management; and
? Ensuring org charts are up to date.
4. Communications & Reporting
? Manage departmental intranet and wiki / sharepoint sites (content management);
? Produce MI measuring performance against departmental objectives;
? Coordinate & consolidate regional project status reporting and/or contribution to global project status reporting; and
? Assist with Executive and Management reporting.
5. Quality
?Define/maintain project governance processes; and
? Co-ordinate Quality Surveys and ensure resulting action plans are tracked.
6. Projects
? Ownership of asset class or regionally specific projects as required
7. Other
?Time Sheet administration and chasing


Candidate Specifications:

1. Graduate / Post Graduate / MBA majoring in Information Technology and/or Finance
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Proven excellent analysis and problem solving skills
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to quickly understand customer requirements and concerns and ensure results meet their expectations
6. Delivery-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
7. Proven ability to prioritize workload effectively in line with business priorities
8. Ability to work to tight deadline
9. Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively across the whole department
10. Have excellent financial management / financial data analysis experience
11. Significant experience of programme/project reportisenior management
12. Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio
13. Have both a teamwork and self-starter approach
14. Ability and commitment to deliver to tight deadlines
15. Creative and problem solving mentality
16. Aptitude towards system/business analysis
