Position Summary:

Responsible for stamping/welding parts, tow hook, fastener, injection parts, e-coating, and supplier’s technique/process verification and evaluation, product design/tooling design feasibility analysis and cost efficiency analysis. Aim is to strengthen and optimize current purchasing group HR construction, to construct and expand a more reliable, feasible and competitive supplier resource.

Preferred Education and Experience:

· 4-6 year working experience/knowledge on procurement engineer or equivalent position at automotive industry.

· Familiar and experienced on stamping, welding, fastener or injection molding.

· Bachelor degree in mechanical, engineering or equivalent.

· Familiar with CAD/CAE or related engineering or product design software.

· Good English skills on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

· Skilled in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Duties include, but not limited to, the following:

· Work together with current qualified suppliers to pursue continual improvement opportunities on quality, process, technique and cost.

· Develop new suppliers based on program or operation request.

· New supplier capability evaluation and analysis

· New supplier product/tooling feasibility evaluation and analysis.

· New supplier cost competitiveness evaluation and analysis.

· Work together with buyers on commercial negotiation with all suppliers for competitive price.

· Work together with related function groups on new supplier audit, performance review, engineering change following.

· Work together with global commodity team on new resource/product developing or localization.

· Participate in TS16949 / ISO14001 system implement

· Other tasks assigned by purchasing manager
