Hanovia is seeking an outstanding Senior Application R&D Engineer to join the expanding Hanovia China team based in Shanghai.

Hanovia is a world leader in UV technology, operating globally to develop, manufacture, and sell UV technology solutions that protect people and processes from the harmful effects of biological and chemical contaminants.

Key responsibilities:

1. Laboratory setting up;

2. Research on UV Dechlorination;

3. UV disinfection for different Micro organism;

4. Evaluate other potential application of UV in water treatment; Provide advice to company for new product developing and new application developing.

5. Where required, to travel to customers’ sites throughout China to provide field based technical support.

6. Provide technical assistance to Hanovia China sales team colleagues.

7. Establish a network of 3^rd party research centre who can contribute to our research when needed.

8. Maintain close links with Hanovia UK R&D team.

9. Maintain full technical records of all test both in the laboratory and in the customer site.

10. Deliver some speech on UV technology and application in some professional seminar.

11. Issuing some professional paper in the International media or magazine alone or together with other 3rd party academic organisation

Required characteristics:

1. Openness, honesty, integrity.

2. PHD or above - Chemistry or Environment Engineering

3. Track record of successful RD experience.

4. Min. 2 years with water treatment experience.

5. Able to operate independently and remotely.

6. Familiar with CFD Software.

7. IT-literate in PC/Windows/MS Office.

8. Good communicator.

9. Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English - fluent means being able to hold meetings, public presentations, etc in the language. Interviews will be held entirely in English.

10. Willing to spend time travelling.
