Job Title: Brand Manager
Job Band: Managerial
Supervisor approval: Operations Director, China
Division: China Trade Division
Basic purpose and Objective of Job
? Assist in the development of short & long term strategies to grow the key brands for the whole of China.
? Manage designated consumer-driven marketing activities for the key brands in line with the agreed strategy for these brands
? Communicate with Principal and work with sales and marketing to ensure outstanding implementation of these plans, thereby maximizing effectiveness of the marketing investment
Principal Accountabilities
? Internal brand champion, building support across functions and with regional brand teams to achieve brand objectives
? Ensure that feedback (e.g. from sales) is actively sought and implemented
? Own development and execution of sales promotion merchandising
? Business trend analysis own brands and competitors
? Monitor Market Intelligence and competitor information relevant to the brand
? Ad-hoc business analysis & preparation of monthly reports
? Co-ordinates presentations for Sales briefings
? Pre and post brand activity evaluations, with recommendations for ongoing improvement
? Analysis and communication of ongoing business information (research, market data)
Functional Capabilities
? Basic understanding of the national & regional sales channels and their associated trading issues
? Demonstrated competence in data compilation & recommended actions - fact finding and extracting information from internal sources
? Able to present data in a logical 'user friendly' way to brief Senior Management + sales teams.
? Proactive approach to work load management
? Able to communicate (verbal and written) ideas with learning concisely
? Able to think intuitively about consumer needs and beliefs and be able to demonstrate examples of real consumer insights
? Innovative
? Prior success in the management of internal sales relationships
? Some management of A&P budgets preferred
? Prior success in the management of agency relationships preferred

Qualifications
? Solid experience in consumer goods marketing, trade marketing or sales
? Some understanding of key financial indicators
? Proficiency in both spoken and written English
? At least 5 years experience in FMCG, F&B, Retails or Channel management will be advantageous
? Aggressive, team player and analytical thinking
? A good knowledge of the local market and its changing dynamics
