RESPONSIBILITES:

• 3-D data modification/create based on the existing SKU by using the Wildfire CAD software.
• Work with Product Development Engineer to create the engineering drawings.
• Release all the drawings in Windchill and maintain the change through ECR/ECN.
• Participate in the pilot run and make the assessment from the engineer perspective.
• Participate in Design and Process FMEA’s for new products
• Provides feedback on manufacturability on new components to Industrial design team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering required
• A minimum of 2 years experience required in mechanical design of consumer product, plumbing industry is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and gage design principle.
• Basic knowledge of Zinc Die casting, brass forging, screw machine, plastic injection molding process required.
• Basic knowledge of quality knowledge such as FMEA, SPC, Cpk, GR&R.
• Proficient in 3-D / 2-D CAD design, Pro/Engineer strongly preferred
• Must possess knowledge of process improvement and product cost reduction methodology; Six Sigma Green belt certification preferred
• Languages: English (speak fluently, read and write)
• Must be able to travel up to 10%
