职位描述

Role Purpose:
The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for leading and coaching the Sales Team to implement the business plan and sales program. The DSM is responsible for helping the product marketing team to create and to consolidate annual sales and expense budget for all product lines and actively involve in providing input / feedback and collecting information for product marketing. The DSM leads and coaches the Sales Team and work closely with product marketing personnel and distributors to achieve the sales targets, goals and objectives.

The DSM is also responsible for maintaining close working relationship with both external and internal counterparts to ensure effective communication, building rapport, influencing government policy, leveraging customer relationship, promoting synergy, improving operation efficiency, maximizing resources, ensuring internal control and compliance.



Major Job Functions:
? Product Knowledge
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through continuous learning on current and new products, their applications, and their target markets.

Deliverable: Able to provide basic product training to new sales, marketing, technical support personnel and sub dealer which enable them to market and promote the product in a professional and competitive manner. Able to have in-depth discussion with customers, distributors, other external and internal counterparts about the technology, product applications and indications, product features, competitive advantages, market trends and situations and etc..

? Information Sharing
Provide market feedback on sales and marketing program to product marketing, actively involve in formulating sales program by sharing market information with product marketing. Provide detailed sales reports and sales analysis to business unit management and product marketing.

Deliverable: Meet with product marketing on a regular basis to share information, always present possible solutions whenever sharing an issue or problem, provides regular business report to business unit management.

? Sales Management
Build (recruit, train, manage, lead, coach and retain) the sales team (sales, technical support and distributor) to meet the sales and expense budget for the product line. Implement, evaluate and refine business plan by dividing the action items down to individual level on a quarterly basis and project rolling sales forecast on a monthly basis.

Deliverable: Predictable operating results (sales and expenses) with strategic action plan to rectify the concerns and issues which pull the business team towards the same direction to perform and deliver the expected results (sales and expense budget).

? Pricing
Implement the pricing strategy which meets or exceeds profit margin targets. Adhere to the price deviation procedure to ensure effective price control.

Deliverable: Maintain up-to date published price lists for end user and distributor. Ensure all sales transactions meet or exceed the profit margin targets. Adhere to the price control procedure to ensure effective price control.

? Business Development
If you are assigned as Project Leader, take ownership of specific projects and bring them on-line. Coordinate with corporate/regional franchise to help / manage information collection. Identify and investigate potential new products and obtain feedback from current customers. Conduct market research, analyze and evaluate market data, conduct feasibility study on specific projects, formulate business plan to start the business.

Deliverable: Project proposal with details of project objective, methodology, action plan and timeline. Project report with detailed information, situation and financial analysis and recommendations which enables management to determine departmental priority, resources allocation, overall direction and strategy. .

? Credit Management & Account Receivable
Support and adhere to credit management policy. Monitor and control accounts receivable within guidelines from company. Lead and manage collection activities.

Deliverable: Improved DSO and reduced bad debts.

? Administration
Perform administrative functions as required. Ensure appropriate and well-organized records and files are maintained. Adhere to company administrative policies, Travel and Expense Policy as per Employee handbook and other policies from time to time.

Deliverable: Well-organized records and files are maintained. Clear and traceable reports on event and marketing promotion budget. Documented procedures in place to review and endorse all project related expense claims. Adhered to Travel and Expense Policy and Edwards Business Practice Manual.

? Edwards Business Practice Manual
Strictly adhere to the Edwards Business Practice Manual. Maintain the highest ethical standards while conducting and managing the company’s business, faithfully implementing the company ethics policy and all other local laws and regulations.

Deliverable: Free from questionable business practices. All of your team members fully understood the Edwards Business Practice Manual and confirmed their compliance by signing and returning the acknowledgement.

? Human Resources Management
Regular review with your subordinates for their sales performance. Appraise the performance for your subordinates through regular performance feedback through both online comments and 1:1 face review twice a year. Work with your subordinates to set clear long and near term priorities and objectives; provide them candid and timely performance feedback whenever necessary. Identify key talents; retain them through continuous training and advancement opportunities. Help under-performed subordinates to formulate development plan and monitor their progress. Conduct probation review and give opinions on labor contract renew. Recommend promotions, separations, compensation adjustments, and training requirements. Develop and update job descriptions for all positions within your business team.

Deliverable: Finalized PMO for the year and documented performance feedback. Documented development plan for under perform subordinates with very clear expected results. Programs / recommendations for retaining key talents. Merit recommendations; promotion, separations recommendations. Updated job descriptions for your subordinates.

? Teamwork
Be a team player and share information in Edwards ‘life is now’ working environment.
Pull resources together to support departmental and company programs / activities.

Deliverable: Well coordinated effort with other team members. Willingness to share information, be a team player, listen to others, support the team decision eventhough you may not fully agree with the decision.

? Scope of Duties
The scope of duties may be adjusted at any time at the company’s convenience and special projects or responsibilities may be assigned.
Required Education/Skills:
? University graduate with major in medicine / science / biotech / bioengineering / business / marketing related discipline
? Fluency in Chinese and English
? Aggressive and hard working
? Excellent analytical, planning, communication and people skills

Required Experience:
? 8 - 10 years working experience in relevant fields, preferably 2 - 3 years in managerial position with people responsibility
? National experience, definite an advantage
? MNC experience, definite an advantage
