REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).
61 Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or engineering strongly preferred
61 Eight (8) years or more of experience working with automotive OEM customers
61 Understanding of OEM manufacturing and assembly environments
61 COEM experience is a must
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).
1. Wide industry knowledge of customers, competitors, products and trends.
2. Understanding of the APQP process.
3. Good written, presentation and communication skills.
4. Computer skills including the following: e-mail, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project.
5. Proficient in negotiating with multiple cultures.
6. Ability to work at all levels of the OEM organization.
7. Works independently and in team environment.
8. Ability to influence, motivate and control situations.
9. Ability of set program direction offering win-win decisions.
10. Strong understanding of cost structure and drivers.
REQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT (Describe the typical types of decisions made by employees in this job and the likely impact of those decisions on the Company).
1. Decision making relative to financial performance, pricing, product costing, supplier costs and management. Influences profitability and cash flow.
2. Interfaces with Cooper Standard executives for financial analysis and decision making.
