GENERAL MISSION:

The Fitting Technician ensures the correct measurements, fit, and workmanship of Auchan textile garments products. She/he closely coordinates with France T&Q team to secure proper implementation of Auchan’s processes and requirements.
She/he receives style comments and relevant documents from Merchandising team; she/he checks patterns and sample and sends it to Modelist in T&Q team CC Auchan merchandiser and supplier within imparted deadlines.
She/he pro-actively works with suppliers to optimize measurement, fitting & pattern processes in order to improve approval processes lead-time and secures bulk quality.
She/He shares and promotes Auchan’s Values and Ethic Rules


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

？ MEASUREMENTS & FITTING & PATTERNS COMPLIANCES

She /He controls and ensures the conformity in measurements and fit; as well as secures that workmanship or patterns specifications are in line with Auchan’s standards.

FILTERING action :

？ Measures all Size Set samples and controls conformity in term of measurements, according to size spec. and France T&Q modelist first comments within requested time-frame
？ Checks basic pattern use with basic patterns hard copy available or paper patterns from supplier if basic pattern modified
？ Checks Size Set Samples fitting on dummy according to France QD modelist counter sample comments, as well as style and garment specifications / workmanship; identifies the problem(s) if any, and provides practical solution(s).
？ Coordinated with France T&Q modelist whenever he/she needs clarifications or finds some comments’ discrepencies; and provides suggestions to reach common understanding/agreement.
？ Clearly and timely communicates with Auchan merchandiser and modelist the conclusions of her/his checking, on requested format.


PRODUCTION Action :


？ She/he shares Auchan quality requirements and patterns with QC team to involve them in the project
？ She/he knows perfectly inner supplier process for product development , knows supplier pattern masters
？ Regularly,she/he gives support in factory, before or during production stage to make sure supplier follows our requirements.
Can attend PP Meeting to secure measurements and fitting conformity, by checking PPS set and pattern before bulk production.
If any incident is related to fitting/measurements during production, can join Quality Controller to find and implement corrective solutions.



KPI :
1. Improvement of SSS re-submission rate
2. SSS comments lead-time
3. Accuracy of elements filed, sent and reported.




？ PATTERN FOLLOW-UP AND COORDINATION during pattern development

The Fitting Technician, in close coordination with T&Q Modelist, ensures suppliers’ understanding of Auchan’s pattern requirements and process within imparted deadlines.

？ Ensures suppliers’ correct understanding at the time of pattern development stage and checks pattern and samples grading accuracy. Identifies pattern discrepencies and gives information to T§Q modelist to update pattern.
？ Assists Modelists whenever travelling, facilitates communication and ensures suppliers’ implementation of Auchan requirements (in term of specifications and lead-time) in full autonomy.
？ Trains new vendors on patterm requirements & process, to facilitate and improve Approval process lead-time of products’ measurements, fit .
？ Key contact for “how to measure” for inspection companies, suppliers and merchandisers
？ Maintains patterns library (hard paper patterns and files in dxf with samples stamped)
？ If requested, evaluates vendors’ sample room capability ( with product development audit grid )and offer diagnostic / troubleshooting solution if necessary.

1. during product development paper pattern is joined to samples for modified basic patterns..
2. lead-time to obtain revised samples during patterns or product development…...
3. Product development Audit for suppliers updated and well fullfiled
4. Submission rate for SSS and PPS ?

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- Strong understanding of fit, pattern making, Grading & apparel garments’ specificities during production process.
- Good pattern making knowledge in garments.(Preferred)
- Adequate fabric knowledge.
- Good command in reading / writing garment fitting related comments in English (French is a plus– as she/he shall be interacting with French Modelists) .
- Cross cultural communication skills
- Proper IT knowledge, including Photoshop, Illustrator software.
