本职位是室内外LED照明产品的产品开发工程师。该职位将在由运营、工程和供应链组成的跨职能团队中进行产品的研究、开发、设计、批准，并使产品进入生产以及后续维护整个产品生命周期。这个职位将负责大货生产前的制造工艺和产前样的确认。将会涉及不同的产品工艺如：压铸、注塑、挤出、冲压、焊接、旋压、喷漆、喷粉等。
产品开发工程师将有助于跨职能团队和供应商之间的联系，并将评估，记录和批准各种制造业务。除了在初始阶段确认产品外，产品开发工程师还要监督生产的提升和生产工艺的持续改进。
主要职责：
1. 配合新产品开发和维护以确定产品要求，2D/3D图，部件或者完整产品图纸的创建或审阅、打样、安全认证、产品整合等。
2. 与质量部、运营部、工程部和供应商合作，将新产品和新工艺投入生产。
3. 与供应商合作评估后备资源，解决生产中可能出现的技术问题，改进设计的成本和质量。识别、启动和实施工艺或产品开发的解决方案，以提高性能，降低成本，增加产量和提升性能。
4. 根据设定的规格对LED灯具产品和其它相关部件的初始工程样品、产前样和大货样品进行评估和确认。
5. 与产品开发、工程和质量部门合作，协助供应商解决产品生产问题、准时出货。
6. 确保记录所有LED新产品现场的工程变更，以保持参考文件的更新、一致。
7. 将LED新产品知识和期望传授给中国办公室新产品开发工程师、验货员及供应商。
8. 其它由主管/公司布置的工作。
职位要求：
1. 3-5年的制造环境动手经验。在机械制造业中至少有1年以上动手经验。
2. 良好的英文听书读写能力。
3. 熟悉2D和3D CAD/Solid Works 和其它工程制图、Micrrosoft软件；熟练使用Excel和PPT。
4. 大专以上学历，工程学位， 制造/机械工程专业。
5. 精神稳定，能胜任主要工作，独立工作，有团队合作精神。

This position is for a Product Design Engineer to work on LED-based lighting products for indoor and outdoor applications. This position will work within cross functional groups consisting of operations, engineering and supply chain to research, develop, design , qualify and introduce products and LED products into production . This position will be responsible for qualifying of both mechanical manufacturing process, and initial manufacturing samples prior to mass production. Would be involved in various product categories such as Die-Casting tooling, Injection model, Extrusion, Stamping tooling, Welding/soldering, Spinning, Painting & powder coating and etc.

This position will help to be a liaison between the cross functional team and the suppliers. The successful candidate will be evaluating, documenting and approving various manufacturing operations. In addition to initial setup and product qualification, the candidate will oversee successful ramp up of production and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Major Responsibilities:
1 Collaboration in the product development process to define product requirements, 2D/3D modeling, sub-assembly/complete product print creation/review, prototype build, safety approvals, production integration and etc.
2 Work in partnership with Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Suppliers to ramp new products and processes into production.
3 Interface with suppliers to evaluate second sources and resolve technical issues that may arise in manufacturing and to improve cost and quality of designs. Identify, initiate and implement solutions for process/product development that improves performance, reduces cost, strengthens yield, and increases capability.
4 Evaluation and qualification of initial engineering samples, pre-production and production samples for LED lighting products and other related components against defined specification.
5 In collaboration with Product Development, Engineering and Quality Assurance team members assist Supplier to resolve product production issues and meet shipping schedules.
6 Ensure documentation for all LED new product engineering changes made in the field so as to keep reference documents current and consistent.
7 Support the transfer of LED new product knowledge and expectations to Kichler Manufacturing team, Inspectors and Suppliers.
8 All other duties the supervisor/company might assign.

Requirements:
3-5 years hands on experience in a manufacturing environment. Prefer at least one year of hands on experience in mechanical manufacturing.
Fluent English ability on listening, reading and speaking.
Software/Hardware/Systems:
Familiar with CAD/Solid Works and other engineering drawing , office software ; Fluent in Excel and Power Point presentation
Above College , Major in Manufacturing/mechanical engineering.
Engineering degree, Manufacturing/Mechanical preferred
