Position Overview: As a Learning Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing learning and development strategies to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees across the organization. This position requires an experienced facilitator and people manager with an understanding of adult learning and the unique cultural and business dynamics within the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Strategy Development:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand organizational goals and translate them into comprehensive learning and development strategies for the APAC region.
Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities specific to the APAC workforce.
Program Design and Delivery:
Develop and facilitate innovative and effective learning programs, incorporating a variety of delivery methods such as e-learning, instructor-led training, workshops, and on-the-job learning.
Ensure that learning initiatives align with business objectives and are culturally relevant to the diverse workforce in the APAC region.
People Management:
Lead a team of learning professionals within the APAC region. Analyze, measure and development the competencies of your team.
Schedule team members to cover required training sessions in-person and virtually.
Vendor Management:
Identify and manage relationships with external training vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning solutions that meet the unique needs of the APAC region.
Cross-Cultural Collaboration:
Work closely with HR teams and business leaders to understand cultural nuances and tailor learning interventions to effectively engage and resonate with employees across different countries in the APAC region.
Learning Technology Integration:
Stay abreast of learning technologies and trends and assess their applicability to enhance the learning experience in the APAC region.
Integrate digital tools and platforms to support blended learning approaches and facilitate ongoing development.
Be responsible for reporting and administration of the Learning Management System (Workday).
Measurement and Evaluation:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact and effectiveness of learning programs.
Regularly evaluate the success of learning initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Budget Management:
Management of the learning budget for the APAC region, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising the quality of learning programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience in learning and development, with a focus on the APAC region.
Strong understanding of cultural differences and business practices across APAC countries.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Familiarity with learning management systems (Workday) and e-learning platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel within the APAC region as needed.
