BASIC PURPOSE:
Mars IS is the global division of Mars responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the IT systems that support our business processes.
The Centre Of Excellence Finance team provides a high professional service for our business processes enabling IT solutions. From defining strategy, developing solutions, initial deployment, maintenance and retirement of applications maintaining our portfolio of solutions through its full lifecycle.
The role holder has 3 main responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver the application portfolio in his/her in the finance functional area
- Support the application portfolio in his/her functional area
- Coach and develop non-managers within his/her team
DIMENSION/SCOPE:
Limited supervision, serves as a analyst within the finance functional area and/or set of processes. This includes responses to system enhancements and individual acting as a member of a project team. Is consistently able to address problems and provide solutions of medium complexity.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Coach and develop talent within his/her team (where applicable)
· Provide management escalation and communication of major issues
· Collaborate with projects according to Mars IS signature processes
· Participation in Governance meetings at a peer / manager level
· Propose and investigate new areas of improvement or strategic opportunities
· Support delivery milestones using defined priority activities and quality standards
· Manage support processes within global support framework (3 geographical regions)
· Deliver and report on SLA's and adhere to ITIL standards
· Ensure succession plan within team
· Coordinate with development/service managers in each region on resources and application support.
· Financial management (forecasting / delivering against budgets) for their team
· Line management of a team of Z8's / Z9's
· Provide management escalation and communication of major issues
· Gather requirements during a project and helping the business with his knowledge of similar markets within the gum segment
· Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and can make recommendations for the configuration of a specific market, based on his experience of similar implementations, template knowledge and technical skills.
· Identify & understand the business and systems impact within a specific landscape of the solution, plan the detailed tasks required to achieve delivery of the fully tested solution.
· Providing information technology based solutions to business problems, which are in line with Unit strategies and deliver defined business benefits
Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
· 6 - 8 years in SAP FI/CO functional configuration, with a proven track record on the business process or technical aspects of business applications. This should include a leadership position with direct reports either as a project manager or team leader for at least one or more major IT initiatives
· Support & project management skills : Dispatching of Incidents, Capacity planning, SLA's, Approval process for incoming demand, Regular Review of all Projects
· Ability to understand and translate pre-established policy, standards and compliance regulations and recommend appropriate policy changes and operational procedures
· Experience with a global food products company or other consumer products is desirable but not required
· This position requires strong problem solving and organizational skills, exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, strong customer focus, and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at multiple levels throughout the organization
· Bachelor degree preferably with major in Finance, Accounting or Computer Science or equivalent business experience

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Experience in working and collaborating within global, cross-functional teams.

· Strong analytical, problem solving, and analysis skills (business & technical), using a comprehensive approach with attention to detail
· Ability to work effectively in a flexible and changing environment, manage multiple activities and priorities, and work well under pressure
