Sourcing part:

    

1.You will be responsible for identifying and on boarding suppliers which fit into the buying and assortment strategy for categories - apparel, shoes and accessories

    

2.You will negotiate with suppliers on: commercials lead times, quality, and other terms and conditions

    

3.You will do continuous business development and market visits to add new vendors who can further improve the assortment variety and quality

    

You will setup and review supplier onboarding guidelines and optimize onboarding times

    

Product and Vendor management Part:

    

4.You will actively work with suppliers to optimize sourcing cost and lead times.

    

5.You will oversee supplier performance on a regular basis, including fulfillment rate, delivery compliance, and adherence to quality standards.

    

6.You will serve as liaison between the supplier and on ground supply chain team to ensure smooth flow of goods.

    

7.You will conduct Quality Check to ensure minimum defects.

    

8.You will escalate issues wherever necessary and, share status reports to category managers and buying leads for issue resolution as required.

    

9.You will identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with buying team to solve chronic supplier issues.

    

10. You will need to take care of vendor’s reasonable business interest and grow them in a fast pace way;

    

11. You will need to guide and develop vendors on creating newness of products and drive the cost efficiency;

    

12. You will be the owner of the local buy equivalent to Dubai buyers to build up the great momentum of the selected products;

    

13. You will be the owner of vendor relationship management for assigned vendors.

    

    

Requirements:

    

1.You have at least 3 years of experience in e-commerce market development or have been working with these specific category suppliers in the relevant markets in China

    

2.You have a great pulse on the sourcing and PRODUCT landscape in China and understand pricing and quality across the different markets

    

3.You have strong oral and written communication skills – both in English and Mandarin. Strong product knowledge with secondary English ability will also be considered;

    

4.You have ability to build and manage long standing vendor relationships.

    

5.You have strong persuasion and negotiation skills, and outstanding project management abilities.

    

6.You have a passion for the product range & an eye for trends

    

7.You have ability to coordinate with diverse internal/external stakeholders, attention to detail and willingness to drive towards results

    

8.You have hands on experience of dealing with global suppliers, particularly in China, S.E. Asia, and Europe.

    

9.You understand key drivers for brand development, new product development, sourcing (including negotiating with manufacturers), and quality assurance.
