Responsibilities:

- Participate with Engineering in the development of Quality Planning tools such as: FMEA, Process Control Plans, etc.

- Support to Engineering in the introduction and validation of new products.

- Ensure proper testing and analyze results for product qualification and assurance of outgoing reliability.

- Training of Quality tools to Quality and Operations Personnel.

- Provide technical support and guidance to Quality Technicians and / or Operations, in the application of quality procedures, interpretation and their implementation.

- Compliance to Avery Dennison RFID Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2008 standard).

- Continuous improvement of supplier quality, customer quality, engineering and production processes

- Review in-house Engineering changes and ensure QA requirements are defined into document changes at Engineering Change Control.

- Develop of quality procedures, acceptance criteria, Inspection Sampling plans, Inspection Instructions, Quality acceptance standards, Quality Alerts, etc

- Analyze quality data and define actions for: Internal Product Quality trends, Low Yields, Material Deviations, Process and Product Waivers, Scrap, etc

- Management of Corrective and Preventive Action Process

- Data collection for Quality Scorecards.

- Coordinate maintenance of quality records.

- Ensure proper Document controls are in place (QSI application).

- Support to Materials Department for Supplier evaluations and ratings.

- Participate with Supply Chain on Supplier Quality surveys and audits on current and potential suppliers and subcontractors to ensure adequate QA systems are implemented and maintained.

- Review quality performance of subcontractors and suppliers and coordinate Corrective Action & Preventive Action (CAPA) Requests and

- Review material quality issues and lead Material Review Board meetings.

- Timely disposition of rejected material from Supplier and /or internal product.

- Identification of problem Root cause & failure analysis of manufactured products and raw materials

- Failure Analysis to quality issues from internal process and/or Customer Complaints.

- Timely resolution on Customer Complaints .

- Develop Corrective Action Plans to address Customer Complaints and internal Quality issues.

- Close communication with Global Quality Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- The qualified candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering, (Quality certification as a Quality or Reliability Engineer , similar to ASQ, is a plus)..

- The candidate should have at least 5 years experience in Quality Engineering of Integrated circuits, hybrids/MCMs, or electronic assemblies, including RFID, SMT PWAs.

- 2+ years in a manufacturing quality or reliability organization.

- The candidate should have a strong theoretical and practical knowledge of RF systems (preferably RFID) - i.e. RF propagation, frequency selection, antenna design, impact of environmental constraints and obstructions to system performance etc.

- The candidate must have successfully worked with suppliers and/or subcontractors in implementing corrective actions and improving the quality of delivered items.

- The candidate is required to have an understanding of ISO-9000 standards / certification, and auditing. experience

- Experience in Quality Management Systems

- The candidate should have a strong understanding of Six Sigma and/or Lean Processes. Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.

- The candidate should have knowledge in understanding and applying core quality tools such as APQP, SPC, FMEA, MSA, Minitab.

- Strong working knowledge of problem-solving techniques

- Knowledge of RFID theory and practice desired.

- Quality certification is a plus.

- Some travel may be required

- Language: Ability to communicate in English ( writing and Speaking)
