•  To support children who have additional needs in their learning, both in small groups and in the whole class context.  Especially to provide language support to students who are weak in language.
•  To spend time planning and supporting lessons to specified children, according to the school’s expectations and guidelines
•  Provide for the students' welfare/personal care, both individually and in groups, and ensure their safety
•  Act as a role model, showing awareness of individual needs and responding to these
•  Encourage student interaction and engagement with all learning activities
•  Assist in developing each students’ learning experience at the school, including the encouragement of positive, behaviour, social and emotional skills 
•  To create resources to support children’s learning needs, as required
•  Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, welfare, security, confidentiality
•  Data protection, reporting any concerns to the appropriate person
•  Contribute to the overall aims of the school
• Attend all school events and functions notified
•  Assist with the supervision of students out of lesson times and accompany school trips and other out of school activities with the teacher as required
• Participate in teacher-parent conferences regarding pupil's progress or problems, as required
• Be a bus monitor when needed
• Take initiative and assist the school wherever possible
•  To translate for parent teacher consultations as required
• Any other job or function given to you by the person to whom you report
