As part of Hitachi ABB Power Grids global R&D efforts, perform product & solution development in power convertor and its application in power quality, battery energy storage, motor control, and etc. Mission includes identification, exploration and implementation of technology /product development, product care and order related engineering problems.

- Join the global R&D efforts for power convertor software/firmware development, focusing on control algorithm design, implementation, and optimization, supporting the product test and verification.
- Maintain awareness of state-of-art technology, able to challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects and/or processes, make contribution to the product development.
- Supporting R&D projects execution according to internal R&D process and model, make sure project delivery on time and on budget according to priorities.
- Closely cooperate/communicate with local and global resources and partners on solution design and R&D project execution.
- Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Ph.D. or master’s degree majored in power electronics, electrical engineering or automation, excellent understanding of power electronics devices and system, familiar with power system.
- More than 3 years of working experience, R&D responsibility in products, e.g. Energy storage Inverter, APF, STACOM and servo motor control, is preferred.
- Hand on experience with power electronic devices design, e.g. control algorithm design and implementation, good knowledge in with HW/SW structure and design.
- Expert with simulation tools for power electronics area and relevant tools, e.g. Matlab, PSCAD, etc.
- Experience with grid integrate code for energy storage system (or DER) would be an extra asset.
- Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn about new technologies.
- Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
