We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
Principal responsibilities :
- Mainframe development in traditional Core Bank platform or Java development in new generation of Core Bank platform, specializing in Core Banking product features.
- Feasibility Study.
- Participate in estimation and Requirement analysis. Assist in development/evolution of estimation templates
- Provide guidance and suggestions on, fine tuning the performance of application, provide technical consultancy to project teams.
- Promote usage of right tools, explore the possibilities of effective and flexible tools and develop components / tools for it, support to implement usage in team.
- Design & Coding: Develop / review the technical design. Primarily Guide and mentor team. Develop code if required
- Reviews: Conduct review of design/code/test plan, test results and deployment as per plan. Work on automating the reviews.
- Suggest and validate best practices across the SDLC and assist in implementing them along with standards
- Communicate with the relevant stake holder regarding resolving technical issues related to delivery of projects
- Conducing Technical training and mentoring and knowledge sharing. Identify potential Specialist from the teams
- Create and implement reuse charter for the projects supported. Promote the usage of repositories
- Update with future technology / application trends, collaborate with Architect / Project teams and provide feedback.

Qualifications :
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Over 10-year solid working experience in IT industry, or knowledge in Core Banking industry will be an advantage.
- Familiar on methodology of Agile - Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent work knowledge with 2 or 3 of the following technologies would be necessary: COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL and ASSEMBLY, Java and Springboot, Angular Node.js, API, and constantly provide best practices to share and implement. Cloud based delivery experience would be an advantage.
- Good analytical, mathematical and strong problem solving skills, Able to work under pressure, demonstrate enthusiasm and learn quickly
- Able to provide excellent technical / application solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin., good customer interaction and continuously work on enhancing the technical / application competency of team members.
