· Drive the good application, understanding of PO safety standards and procedures

· Perform safety audits, risks assessment and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance

· Investigate accidents (LTA, WLTA, First aids), near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities

· Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture

· Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices

· Investigate accidents(LTA, WLTA, First aids), near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities

· Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as new employees HSE Induction, Fire drill, First aids, Safety risks analysis, Log-out Tag-out, safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment

· Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes

· Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development

· Lead deployment of PO INERGY Safety Management System & internal process IQSR inside the plant

· Assist the plant to attain and maintain OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001

· Implement other plants best practices to improve Safety. Integrate external benchmarking coming from other companies

· Participate actively in the ASIA SAFETY committee. (Monthly sharing). Interface with the ASIA Manager of Manufacturing Excellence and Safety.

· Work as LOTO Procedure Champion, train and coach other technicians/setters who have to work inside machines; advice when std instructions are not covering a necessary specific activity; check the correct application of LOTO, in line with the procedure.

· With Asia EHS director, support EHS start-up in new China plant when construction phase starts and development of EHS programs, procedures and rules required for Plant Operation before SOP of new plant, and coordinate with plant EHS manager to establish EHS Management System as required by International certification body such as OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 till new plant get certified.

With Asia EHS director and HR, provide EHS awareness training to new Plant EHS managers in China, and communicate with them to get adjusted properly and timely to new Corporate and Asia EHS directives and requirements, and support Top Safety Visit training to new Plant Management team.
