Job Summary:

I'm a key part of the team, working closely with Sourcing and Technical (Industrial Engineer) colleagues to reduce cost by carrying out detailed analysis of garments using General Sewing Data to obtain accurate SMVs.

Accountabilities:

• Delivering reduced garment cost by using industrial engineering tools and General Sewing Data (GSD)
• Establishing accurate SMVs using GSD and to work closely with Industrial Engineers to effectively implement into our supply base
• Conducting cost effective analysis in the sample development stage
• Coordinating with coordinating with UK Buyer, UK Technical, Design, Hub Commercial on providing accurate Open Costing Sheet in terms of CMT cost (based on SMV, Efficiency and Cost per Minute) and Material Cost and other cost Elements to support fact based negotiation with suppliers to reduce the FOB Price. 
• Working closely with Hub commercial teams to get the Order details  allocated to Supplier that covers the savings to generate Savings Report. 
• Provide an on-time and accurate SMV as requested by UK Buyer.
• Supplying correct SMVs to Capacity Manager to ensure factory capacities are accurate and achievable.
• Investigating the causes of manufacturing waste and identifying solutions.
• Having the ability to look at fabric utilization / construction of garment on risk assessment of product prior to sample
• Generating reports on cost savings
• Re-engineer garments to ensure they are engineered in the most cost effective way possible for manufacturing (Reduction in SMV) cost saving
• Providing the analytics & reports that will support the Sourcing colleagues in fact based negotiations with Suppliers

• Established and Maintain Global GSD Database.
• Work with Industrial Engineer in establishing competitive matrix in terms of Efficiency, SMV Cost Per Minute and Capability within Factory Based in order to use for Global Cross Costing reference by UK Buyer. 
• Work with Industrial Engineers along to standardized operation method, machines, attachments and techniques in factory based in order to eliminate process variation that causes waste, poor quality and inefficient process. 
• Achieve target On-time and RFT on SMV or Open Costing Request.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• At least 5 years' relevant experience in manufacturing / production in the apparel industry 

• Licensed practitioner of GSD (General Sewing Data)

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality

• Team player with strong customer focus and analytical skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and well organized
