Job Summary:

I work with colleagues across Tesco, our suppliers and stakeholders to identify and manage responsible sourcing risks and develop and support the implementation of solutions.

Accountabilities:

• Providing high quality analysis, identifying priority issues and providing recommendations, enabling Tesco to  manage reputational and supply risk by focussing resources
• Developing and presenting the business case for responsible sourcing solutions & improvement processes to drive effective internal and external buy in
• Building strong relationships and being the 'go to' person for RS across the relevant business area(s)
• Managing relationships with external stakeholders and developing sector-wide solutions where appropriate
• Developing the right communication and training materials to support successful implementation and long term sustainability of solutions developed
• Managing and driving the successful implementation of improvement projects in collaboration with commercial and technical colleagues so that responsible sourcing is efficiently imbedded within these teams
• Providing input to Tesco’s corporate responsibility reporting and helping to gain recognition for Tesco as a trusted leader
• Following the Tesco Business Code of Conduct, always acting with integrity and due diligence
• People management to support development of talents in the team and drive performance in the team 

Requirements:

• At least 10 years relevant knowledge/experience in responsible sourcing, with experiences in sourcing industry and/or MNC is preferred
• At least 5 years experience in managing a medium/large sized team
• Be able to manage complex business change projects with strong influencing/collobaration skills
• Has experience in working with external stakeholders (NGOs, trade unions, media etc.)
• Good at communication and presentation
• Good at problem analysis, strategic thinking and process improvement

Tesco Sourcing is the sourcing operation of Tesco, for F&F Clothing and General Merchandise products. With our main office in Hong Kong, we operate through hubs in 7 countries and have more than 500 colleagues working with us across Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Europe.

Our colleagues work in different countries/regions, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Thailand, Turkey, Cambodia, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UK, Vietnam, Romania, Pakistan, Poland - a diverse workplace representing 23 nationalities across our people. Our colleagues create and source high quality own-brand Clothing and General Merchandise ranges for Tesco, from ethical and sustainable sources of supply.
