Role Purpose / Description
Project/Team Introduction:
HTC Insurance team provides technology solutions to Regional Insurance in Hong Kong.
Software Delivery, Insurance Asia Pacific is responsible for the delivery and support of a portfolio of world class software to enable the HSBC Insurance strategy in Asia Pacific. HSBC Insurance, ASP is a rapidly growing business, manufacturing a full range of insurance products in Asian countries.
The primary focus for Software Delivery, Insurance ASP includes software design, development, testing, support and architecture.
Job Duties:
The job holder will have to perform the following duties:
? Participate in the various stages of a development project, such as requirement gathering, Function design, technical design, development, testing, implementation and support.
? Perform coding and testing under the guidance of a supervisor, and according to the Bank’s development standard and meeting quality requirements.
? Work closely with regional IT teams (HK, GuangZhou) in project implementation and support.
? Provide input to system solutions to meet business needs.
? Provide coaching and support to ASE and SE teammates.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Candidate Specifications:
Technical skill
? 4 to 6 years' IT working experience, preferably in an enterprise or a global environment.
? Be familiar with AS400, RPGLE, CL, COBOL on iSeries. SMART COBOL is more appreciated.
? Be familiar with MQ, CD/CE gateway, sFTP, R2DS, etc.
? Be familiar with Agile/DevOps approach and practices
? Has experience to complete the function design, technical design individually.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
? Be familiar with Insurance knowledge. Passed LOMA is more appreciated.
Soft skill:
? A highly-motivated individual with positive and proactive attitude. Open mindset and adapt to the change.
? Confident to interact directly with people of different culture. (HK, GuangZhou)
? Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of spoken and written English.
? Willing to work offshore and travel if required.
