Role Title: Associate Software Engineering Manager
Business: Wealth & Personal Banking IT
Role Purpose / Description
? Manage a team, with accountability for the performance of the team activities and focuses on continuous improvement of the performance of the team from a productivity, service, quality, training and effectiveness perspective.
? Manage the GuangZhou insurance team stuffs and provide the regular update to the senior management team.
? Removing impediments for the team and shield them from interruptions, act as a coach to the team, Product Owner and wider organization to help them continually improve, and facilitates the delivery of work and where appropriate.
? Ensure all activities performed within the team adhere to the relevant data standards and data controls.
? Ensure the level of automation within the team is optimized at all times, reducing the need for human intervention in the design, development and operational lifecycles, including decisions on tooling to achieve optimal performance.
? Work with the Business Owner, Solution & Platform Architects to identify changes required, create & agree necessary stories.
? Work with the Agile Lead to ensure efficient flow of the backlog of change activities.
? Accountable for ensuring products and services maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements and control objectives within the risk and controls framework.
? Responsible for ensuring group controls are maintained within the team activities and remediation activities are resolved swiftly.
? Accountable for the operational stability, integrity and availability of products and services supported by the team.
? Providing support the solution architect to ensure that solutions and services are supported by the right architectures & systems.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in JAVA development。
? Minimum 3 years’ experience in team / people management.
? Experience in an DevOps team to deliver project in Agile way.
? Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.
? Knowledge of cloud service (e.g. AWS, AliCloud etc.)
? Fully understand HSBC organization structure to identify the right personnel to remove the impediment.
? Fully understand the infrastructure landscape of insurance distribution in HSBC
? Knowledge of Agile tools in HSBC, such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
? Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
? Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
? Written English, Spoken English is required.
? Can understand Cantonese is preferred
