Sourcing Manager Responsibilities:   

• Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval
• Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies
• Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends
• Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
• Identify and pursue new supplier opportunities with a clear goal to increase production capacities and profit margins
• Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts
• Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry rrequested standards (BSCI, C-tPAT, SCANN, REACH, EIA etc.)
• Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships
• Manage, motivate and coach a team of 6 Buyers and 6 QC people to achieve the next level of performance.
• Recommend, develop and implement buying strategies that ensure operational efficiencies which increase customer service levels and reduce lead times to an average of 8-10 weeks

  

Sourcing Manager Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, product development, supply chain etc.
• You have a previous experience in managing teams of 12-15 people, preferably in buying/supply chain management
• At least four years' procurement experience in a related industry
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English to communicate with Overseas management
• You have a hands-on mentality and are able to work independently.
• Advanced ability to work in teams, build long-term relationships with external partners and negotiate
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Willingness to travel in order to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships
• You are pragmatic and stress resistant.  You are straight forward in your communication when required
