Responsibilities:
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of multiple R&D Procurement categories and understanding of the relevant industries/markets.
- Negotiate and execute low/medium complexity agreements in a timely manner under a defined category or contracting strategy. Understand legal challenges, communicate with peers in Hutchison’s internal team, and provide guidance related to contract/change orders drafting and contract/change order negotiation. Make system updates to support contract reporting.
- Accountable for developing and delivering against performance goals.
- Proactively identify and facilitate resolution of issues ensuring that contracts are consistent with HMP quality and business objectives.
- Support business cases for implementation of new processes and procedures to improve organizational efficiencies.
- Support continuous monitoring and improvement in terms of Quality, Service, Time, Total Cost of Ownership (across entire project life cycle) and adequately balance/mitigate corresponding risk, including the variation/claim management and expediting during the execution phase as well as close out of contracts.
- Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, availability and cost status
- Other tasks arising (or assigned by Line Manager) in the scope of procurement, or interfaces with adjacent functions, throughout the project progress.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Procurement experience. Experience in R&D category is highly preferred.
- Proficient in English (as working language) and Microsoft office tools, ERP systems. Procurement tools knowledge as an asset.
- Good team player, networking, negotiation and cross function communication skills.
- Project and change management skills.
