Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Business: Wealth & Personal Banking IT
Role Purpose / Description
- Work collaboratively in a cross functional team and take implementation ownership for enabling customer value add.
- Flexible working hours to work with US, UK colleagues and relevant project stakeholder in odd hours pre-agreed
- Work with Business to elicit, analyze, clarify and validate requirements for changes to the subject system
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and help identifying the underlying business needs from the user request.
- Deliver detail user cases description/product backlog/story with clear acceptance criteria including technically feasible and realistic functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Provide support for IT teams to thoroughly understand business requirements for solution proposal, development and testing purposes.
- Provide ongoing consultancy to business with up-to-date market info analysis result
- Provide training on business background of features cross teams, e.g. testing team
- Provide ongoing consultancy on production issues
- Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions, internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant BA working experience
- Proven experience in the HSBC business environment or an IT BA role
- Basic understanding of how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer
- Some analysis experience and knowledge of structured techniques and Group standards
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
- A good knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations and networks is desirable but not must
- BA certifications holder (e.g. CBAP) is desirable but not must
- FX & payment background is desirable but not the must
- Native cloud platform business solution design experienced is desirable but not must
- Customer facing UI design experienced is desirable but not must
