Position Name: Sourcing Team Lead

Reports to: General Manager, Guangzhou

Salary: 10-12k

About the Company:

Sevco works with our overseas SME partners to help them manufacture their products in China. Our category focus is on custom mechanical components spanning all common materials and manufacturing process. We also offer solutions in raw material supply and product development.

Position Description:

In this role you will be reporting to a foreign manager based in Guangzhou. You will be responsible for managing a small team of sourcing specialists overseeing Sevco's sourcing and product development functions, as well as executing procurement improvement initiatives such as dual sourcing and costdown targets.

This role will suit someone with strong China sourcing experience who is highly skilled at identifying and managing procurement risks as well as identifying and exploiting opportunities. If you have previous small team leadership experience and/or a strong knowledge of mechanical product manufacturing, even better! Previous project management experience will also be viewed favourably.

Strong English language ability (both written and spoken) will be necessary for your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day and long-term tasks and priorities of the sourcing team (currently 2 members and expected to at least double by end of 2021)
• Build up and improve internal company processes to drive better performance in key areas (customer conversion rate, profit margin, COGS, product quality, lead times, etc.)
• As the team is small, the Sourcing Team Lead is also initially expected to get “hands on” and also run their own sourcing projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• Applicants must have a very strong awareness of key mechanical product manufacturing processes
• A keen business awareness to understand the financial and strategic impacts of sourcing decisions
• Fluent in Mandarin (Native speaker)
• Very high level English language ability – able to communicate confidently and clearly on technical and business topics
• Strong work ethic and ability to self-motivate and also motivate others
• Ability to think critically and independently

Key Benefits:

• After-tax salary between 10-12k RMB per month
• Annual bonus will be paid at Chinese New Year (up to one month's salary)
• 5 day working week
