DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The firmware engineer will be joining BCN E&E Engineering Department which be based in Shiyan, Shenzhen. 

 

1.      Deep understanding experience in product life cycle development of Floorcare, Aircare, Home Appliance, Power Tools and Consumer Electronics from concept to mass production

2. Collaborate with cross-functional on firmware design specification requirements based on inputs from CD, Marketing and TTL

3. Complete code, unit test writing, debugging, testing and maintenance according to software requirements and software design specifications

4. Develop and maintain documentation of software and specifications through engineering version control.

5. Conduct detailed design review. Closely monitor progress and publish status report timely to the team

6. Lead firmware development planning, implementation, documentation, bring up, basic function validation, bug clarification, bug fix and maintenance after mass production

7. Provide expertise support to Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier and TTL for detailed system level design proposal.

8. Utilize strong awareness of technology to recommend new features ideas, technologies and design methodology

9. Responsible for firmware development and operation and maintenance of IoT devices (New product firmware development, factory production, deployment and maintenance).

10. Participate in the establishment of excellent software engineering practices, continuously optimize and refactor code to ensure code maintainability.

11. Analyse and solve problems in the software development process.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, at least 5-8 years relevant work experience in computer or electronics engineering

2. Proficiency on C/C++ language, familiar with "script" language, Keil and IAR, visual studio and mongoose

3. Familiar with wireless protocol such as BLE, WIFI and common device interface such as I2C, SPI, and UART.

4. Familiar with RTOS based multi-thread development, with FreeRTOS and Linux development experience is preferred.

5. Familiar with TCP/IP network development, with AWS cloud access development experience is preferred.

6. Strong motivation for software technology, good communication skills and teamwork spirit, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Familiar with Electronic Systems design, Troubleshooting, Testing Design, Reliability and accelerated testing.

8. Familiar with Battery management system, Embedded Systems, Analog Design, Schematics, Printed Circuit Boards, Power Electronics. Industrial control or robotic design as a plus.

9. Communications protocol experience (i.e. TCP/IP, UART, SPI, I2C, USB)

10. Good communication and written in English.
