职位描述

1. Group IT Activities

  1. Work with the respective IT teams (regional and shipboard) to ensure continuity of mission-critical applications and infrastructure

  2. Develop services that can evolve into a profit centre that includes: managed IT services, turn-key remote access and back-up solutions for clients

  3. Oversee support to Project Management and Operations involving all Business Applications projects within the Star Cruises’ group of companies

  4. Develop, maintain and test an enterprise-wide disaster recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of Business Application services

  5. Develop and ensure high availability, resiliency and performance in the Business Critical Application services for various locations (Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Ships).

2 . IT Development and Service Activities

  1. Lead the application team in the support and operation activities of the Business Critical Applications.

  2. Ensure Service Delivery and Continuality for Application Services & deliveries to Business

  3. Ensure timely and efficient IT operations and recommend improvements when necessary, liaise with outsource companies on systems administration and maintenance of infrastructure and network

  4. Assess, plan and recommend solutions to enforce System Design Life Cycle (SDLC) and Compliance Management

  5. Manage allocation and organization of project resources based on project requirements, priorities and resources at all stages of the project cycle

  6. Manage the performance of a team of application engineers in terms of work quality, timeliness and Service Level of Agreements (SLA).

  7. Manage and direct the team’s daily activities and ensure departmental performance indicators are met and aligned to Service level Agreement.

  8. Manage and review the development of all Business Application and Development and related technology periodically

  9. Technical negotiation with vendors on Business Application and related solutions.

  10. Continuous assessment to determine the use of appropriate solutions to improvise operations/process efficiently.

3.Other Responsibility

To carry out safety and security duties from time to time and be assigned as member of the Crisis Management Team, as and when needed


4. Resources Development

  1. Provide guidance and consult on best practices and approach
  2. Provide technical expertise to resolve any issue/conflict arising from project and dependencies
  3. Develop and hone staff skills in Core Application and Operations Support Technology encompassing System Management, Performance and Service Monitoring in the respective OS and DB environments (Microsoft, UNIX, Oracle, Progress, DB2)
  4. Build and Develop team members’ skill for support to Project Management and Operations.
  5. To build and manage a Solutions team that will prepare technical bid solutions to the internal clients within the group. This includes both enhancements and new proposals.


Requirements:

  1. Self-starter and ability to work in a dynamic environment within the company or at group level

  2. Strong integrity and advocates transparency in work among team members

  3. Strong service level culture to advocate and cultivate team discipline.

  4. Advocate compliance in standards and documentation for all operation and project activities.

  5. Strong project management and analysis skills required to carry through projects at all stages, and manage project resources issues.

  6. Understand the service requirement of present and future Application Systems and Project Rollouts are aligned to the group infrastructure system capabilities and platform.

  7. Ability to manage operation expenditure within the allocated budgets; and ability to offer solutions with constant assessment of lower cost alternatives to technology services.

  8. Ability to work closely with project stakeholders, business units and all levels to ensure success in projects, operational activities.

  9. Good knowledge in Security and Audit Compliance Framework.
