Project Engineer - soft toys

Job Responsibilities

• Support product development with technical expertise to help achieve design intent that is commercially viable – recommend options and mock up where required.
• Review quotation and recommend alternative manufacturing process per released specifications/tech pack
• Review samples including evaluation of fabric, measurements, construction, appearance and overall finish
• Follow up pre-production samples in accordance with Buyer/Licensor approved samples
• Review manufacturability and product packaging with vendors
• Partner with vendor technical teams to ensure that construction, finishing is consistent across all programs within a category.
• Ensure product do meet quality and safety compliance
• Follow up engineering changes per Buyer/Licensor request
• Follow up and provide updated product development milestone

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Textile and Clothing
• Minimum 3 years experience in backpacks, plush toys or bags industry. Knowledge of pattern making, grading, sewing, construction and fit for multiple categories.
• Experience in product risk assessment.
• Ability to oversee a product category while making product quality and seasonal deliverables a priority.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven organizational skills and ability manage competing priorities.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail & resourcefulness.
• Good working attitude. Responsible, accountable, organized and a good team player.
• Ability to proactively analyze issues and problem solve.
• Willing to travel frequently to China and South East Asia.
• Knowledge of testing and inspection requirement is a plus
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Adobe Illustrator, and applications like MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word

工作时间：周一至周五9：00-12：30，14：00-18：00，周六9：00-12：30，14：00-16：00， （长短周， 月休6天）
