岗位职责:

Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for patient information release issues, maintain accuracy and completeness of medical records, assure meets clinic’s needs of requesting medical records for patient’s care purpose, and abstracting of diagnosis and procedures. Also assists medical record supervisor in the efficient and effective management of medical record department consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical and legal requirements of the health care delivery system.

Responsibilities: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
？ Files pertinent documents into patient medical records and files completed medical records on a daily basis.
？ Taking request from patients, verifying the patient or the request or identification, release patient’s information according to related policies.
？ Keep medical files safety and maintain patient confidentiality.
？ Abstracts pertinent information from patient records. Assigns ICD-10 and ICD-9-CM codes and enter it into system
？ Distribute medical files according to clinic needs.
？ Collect and analyze data for volume and health care related programs;
？ Other assignments by the supervisor/manager.
？ Substitutes for other MRD staffs as needed.

任职资格:

Qualifications:
？ Associate college degree required;
？ Medical/nursing background preferred;
？ Working experience in medical record coding Preferred;

Skills:
？ Language skill in Chinese and English; (Cantonese preferred);
？ Communicating skill in interacting with patients
？ Coordinating skill in dealing with problems

Knowledge:
？ Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and disease processes.
