Job description:

• Develop, manage and execute innovative procurement projects, based on category strategies based on procurement analytics
• Team up with European based category and product managers to source a high amount of quality goods from new and existing suppliers in a fast moving B2B environment in alignment with company strategy, mission and vision
• Utilize strategic procurement techniques and tools to actively manage allocated suppliers in assigned product categories and negotiate preferential commercial terms with potential new suppliers on: Quality, Price, MOQ, lead times, CE certificates, packaging
• Conduct on site factory audits to evaluate supplier quality, production organization and finalize commercial discussions
• Take active ownership of supplier relationships; Evaluate assigned existing suppliers to develop strategic supplier partnerships, maintaining good business relationships with suppliers to guarantee the best commercial conditions as well improve quality performance
• Implement an effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Programme for all assigned suppliers. Comply with processes and tools for standardized supplier categorization (Strategic, Key, Accepted, Phase Out) and performance metrics
• Manage 1st orders and ensure timely delivery as per agreed business terms
• Develop OEM design implementation and packagings in close cooperation with the design and quality team in Germany and Poland

Requirements:

• 7-10 year’s experience in an international sourcing environment focused on procurement and supplier management, preferably within a European organization
• Knowledge and capability to apply and execute strategic benchmarking and other common procurement techniques
• Target driven with the capability to develop a high volume of new Suppliers and SKU's
• Willing to travel to factories frequently, within Mainland China
• Good knowledge and understanding of European Quality and Safety regulations (CE certificates and testing)
• Knowledge and Experience in agriculture, power tools or forestry product categories would be a strong +
• Engineering background preferred
• Good English language skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Able to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to work in a fast paced multi-cultural environment with a team player spirit
• Good knowledge of MS Office
