Job Objective:
The objective of this new position is to build technical relationships with customers, understand the technical requirements, help them in processing and work internally with the Technology Centers in developing appropriate productsand practical solutions to grow the business.
Report Line:Technial Service Manager-Asia
Location:Guangzhou China or suitable city in South China.Need Travel frequently.
Accountabilities:
Contributes to the regional business for the segment by indicating present and future technical/process/applications needs of the customers in Asia.
Builds cross functional relationships at the customer which essentially cover R & D, Shop Floor manufacturing.
Analyzes customer needs and develops proposed actions to convert opportunities into business growth. Reviews action plans with Sales Manager and Business Manager
Gathers information pertaining to the value chain at the customers and feeds back to the business team.
Gathers technological advances in the market and provides the information to the business team to improve/add to the product and services portfolio.
Evaluates and analyzes technical and commercial competitive advantages/disadvantages and helps position company offerings accordingly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Graduate/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science
Technical Person currently working in a Chemical Companies as specified above
Experience is in developing and implementing technical and process solutions at the customer. Experience to formulation is highly desirable.
Prior experience in the lab is ideal. Essentially a Technical skill set.
Ideal candidate will have of 7-10 years of experience in technical service engineering support as a core capability.
Ability to quickly learn and grasp technical product knowledge in various sub segments.
High level of initiative: Candidate will be a real Go getter and enthusiastic.
Ability to translate the overall cost benefits to the customer.
Systematic approach and thinking.
Foresight to identify potential issues.
Excellent Technical Skills in Civil Engineering Flooring, Tank/Pipe Lining, Concrete repair and adhesives, Crack Injection, Grouting/Motar.
Has other Technical Skills in Coating or Composite, will be plus.
English skill.
