Role Purpose / Description
-HSBC is on a path
to achieve customer-led growth. One of our main strategies, in which Experience
Design has a leading role to play, is to increase the proportion of our
customers who are digitally active. We’ll do this by designing intuitive and
innovative experiences for mobile and online banking, our public websites and
share dealing features (plus any future channels or devices), and maintaining a
relentless customer focus
-You’ll take a
regional lead role in design activity to create ‘best in class’ digital banking
experiences to help our millions of customers. You will be part of all aspects
of design activity from concept to customer testing and producing UCD
deliverables in line with our global and regional strategy and in conjunction
with other digital teams

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
-You’ll have a strong
understanding of digital business, while experience with travel, lifestyle,
and/or other consumer product development is a strong advantage
-Possess a blend of
business and technical savvy and an ability to translate strategy into action

-A proven ability to
build strong relationships across stakeholder groups and effectively influence

-A bachelor’s degree or
equivalent preferable

-Highly developed
communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical
issues
-Pragmatic decision
making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments and understand the
implications
-High level of
resilience and self-motivation
-(UX) – Highly
experienced in User Centred Design methodology and its practical implementation
-(UX) – Highly skilled
in the use of prototyping tools, flash and rich media
-(UI) – Strong
knowledge of (rapid) prototyping tools and techniques
-(UX) – Extensive
knowledge of interaction design and information architecture disciplines,
creating wireframes, site maps, user workflows, personas and prototypes
-(UX) – Strong
experience of working with and managing agencies particularly usability testing
-(UX) – Strong
understanding of user research and user testing methods and translate the
research findings into design solutions.
-(UX) – Highly
experience of reviewing existing digital solutions and provide expert user
experience analysis
-(UX) - Work with the
business to clarify the requirements for a piece of work and the problem trying
to be solved.
-(UI) – Strong
understanding of layout and typography and meticulous attention to design
detail
-(UI) – Extensive
working knowledge of responsive design
-(UI) – Strong
understanding of modular/atomic design
-(UI) – Extensive
working knowledge of native UI design
- (UI) – Highly
experienced working in an agile/scrum development project environment
