职位描述

The Director of Business Development -China oversees a team responsible for delivering best in class, differentiated marketing activities in Business Development that supports our ability to drive strong, mutually beneficial growth in lead generation, preview package and revenues for a specific vertical market. Collaborates with senior leadership to shape Marketing decisions and strategies. Works closely with internal stakeholders to support the enhancement of our competitive position and maximize profitability. Demonstrates deep vertical knowledge to optimize the overall program marketing planning for across markets and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Best / Next Practices:

Ensures marketing best practices are in place across channels based on program vertical/maturity and identifies and champions next practices for ongoing performance and differentiation. Leverages industry benchmarks, A/B test and learn approach and partners internally on emerging strategies and technologies.


Marketing Planning:

Leads a team of marketing professionals that provide expertise and oversee marketing planning (annual, seasonal, long range) in assigned region, relevant to specific market and channels, optimizing program performance


Program Performance:

Partners with marketing alliances teams and cross functional team to influence P&L performance, optimizing customer segmentation strategy and managing investment decisions of marketing capital.


Partner Relationships:

Supports partner satisfaction and relationship through participation in key meetings as determined and ensuring team provides strong ongoing support of partner relationships.


Talent Development:

Develops future Business Development level leaders and ensures appropriate training and development practices are in place across teams to develop deep vertical intimacy and marketing expertise.


Experience:

·         Minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing, Partnership Management.

·         Minimum 8 years proven managerial experience, preferably in a multi-level organization.


Key Skills:

·         Proven experience executing marketing roadmaps and strategies for hospitality, consumer

Banking /Financial or more different channels.

·         Competent at building connections internally and externally to support program growth.

·         Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts, credit card, loyalty and partnership programs, consumer behaviour, and marketing analytics.


This executive must be seen as a business leader who has executive presence, thought leadership, analytical strength and strong business sensibility. The leader will operate across a matrix business to achieve success.

This individual will have an exceptional ability to think creatively and strategically in order to understand business issues and link results to organizational effectiveness. He / She will possess an intellectual curiosity to research, learn and apply industry knowledge to product ownership and development. Ability to influence others and gain support from all levels of leadership is critical in this role. He / She must have the ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization with dotted line reporting relationships. He/ She must flex leadership skills to lead by example through the display of company values, leadership essentials, and corporate social responsibility. To be successful in this organization, he / she must also easily adapt to change with the ability to work in a fast paced growth environment.
