职位描述


  • Job Summary

    The Application Development Specialist is organized in the application development team to provide technical support services to internal customers, maintaining and developing new business/market for external customers, using both “push” (based on market & product/application knowledge/trend) & “pull” (providing solution to customer needs) approaches.

Key Responsibilities


  • Good technical understanding of related disciplines in Coating industry, co-development of technical processes with formulation research or trouble shooting with teammates to meet business needs and timelines.
  • Conduct experiments and keep detail testing record and the testing data should be traceable.

  • Maintain a safe and tidy laboratory and maintain lab equipment good performance;

  • Proactively identify New Business opportunities in Coating, Ink and Electronics/Semi-con industry

  • Take ownership through technical approach. Work closely with Sales team to implement and monitor New Business projects for the realization/commercialization.

  • Track New Business projects, analyze progress and suggest new strategies based on findings.

  • Develop Product/Application knowledge for the specific industry segment, provide training to the sales team, organize technical seminar or build up show case as marketing support.

  • Demonstrate the Market Ownership: develop Market intelligence for specific industry segment, in terms of market needs, potential size, value proposition, competition, major products, key suppliers, technical trend, etc.; and identification of new markets or new business opportunities.

  • Maintain good relationship with customers and suppliers.

  • Promote the value-selling concept to customer as much as possible (provide solution to customer with multi suppliers' products).

  • 对涂料行业的相关领域和对公司推广产品有良好的技术理解,与团队成员共同开发工艺流程,进行配方研究或解决问题,以满足业务需求和商业计划。

  • 能对相关产品进行实验操作并记录详细测试结果和保持可追索的数据。

  • 维护实验室的安全和整洁,以及管理实验室设备使其良好运行。

  • 主动识别涂料与油墨和电子半导体行业的新的产品应用商业机会。

  • 通过技术和应用开发能力对产品的市场推广起主导和推进作用。与销售团队紧密合作,实施并监督新业务项目实现商业化。

  • 对项目进行管理,紧切跟踪新业务项目,分析进展,及时发现并提出新的解决方案和策略。

  • 针对特定行业之发展产品以及应用技术,为销售团队提供培训,组织技术研讨会或建立展示案例作为市场推广支持。

  • 负责进行市场活动,根据市场需求、潜在规模、价值主张、竞争、主要产品、主要供应商、技术趋势等,收集特定行业的市场情报,以识别新兴市场和新的商机。

  • 与客户和供应商保持良好的合作关系。

  • 能向客户推广增值销售理念,推广和提供产品打包方案给客户。


3. Accountability & Key Dimensions

  • Familiar with technical support and process and understand formulation of coating/ink products

  • Be familiar with different kinds of lab equipment and strictly execute lab’s regulations

  • Enable to drive technical strategies for applications development by different means.

  • Monitor the coating/ink experiments tasks, helping commercial project deliverables

  • Write experiment reports and other technical documents.

  • Involve 40% indoor experiments and 60% supporting sales activities by connecting supplier/customer.

4. Essential Skills/Traits/Competencies

  • Bachelor/Master in Chemical Engineering or Material Science
  • 3-5 years of experiences in Coating, Ink or Electronics/Semi-con industries (including material companies).

  • Technical background (Product/Application) is a must, BD or sales experience in Coating and Ink industries is beneficial.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Teamwork Spirit

  • Marketing knowledge & skills, experience in organizing technical seminar, show case, etc.

  • Project Management skills

  • Fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English language in oral and written.
