Purpose:
This position controls the maintenance and operations activities of the plant. Will achieve agreed objectives concerning customer service levels, operating efficiency, equipment acquisition and maintenance as well as ensuring that costs are controlled within set budget levels. Will contribute to determining cost budget achievement.

Key Accountabilities
- To establish planning, budget and business objectives for the site in line with business objectives
- Monitor and evaluate results (take corrective actions) to ensure that monthly targets are met
- To develop and implement strategies for the achievement of budget and business objectives that will ensure the achievement of cost targets
- To ensure that the activities of this business conforms to Veolia policy and procedures
- To ensure that the activities of all employees are coordinated and that all front line HR issues are effectively managed
- To ensure that all OH&S, Quality and Environmental regulations are addressed and that compliance according to legislative requirements is met
- To liaise with other LFGE sites and Managers to rationalise resources and ensure that profitability is maximised
- To maintain and enhance goodwill for the brands supported by the depot by providing excellence in Customer Service
- To remain aware of the industry equipment suppliers, their products and prices, and obtain the most economically beneficial combination of quality/price supply arrangements for both capital and maintenance items.
- Through an acceptable program of preventative maintenance, refurbishment and scheduled repairs, seek to maximise the operational availability of equipment.
- Protect and maintain all company assets in order to optimise their use and maximise their profitability
